Domaine Faiveley combines the principles of modern winemaking methods with the time honored traditions that have been practiced for centuries within their 19th century cellars. Each terroir and each vintage, benefits from special attention which makes the cuvées unique. Each bottle therefore becomes the faithful reflection of its terroir.
In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the village of Givry is well-known for its red wines which are often compared to the wines of Mercurey. In smaller volumes, it also produces white wines which are full of freshness and elegance.
Terroir: Domaine Faiveley’s Champ-Lalot vineyard is a single parcel making up approximately 2.75 acres in the northeast of the appellation. Vines date back to 1983 and are planted in loose limestone soils on a gentle southeast facing slope.
Vinification: Grapes are gently press and aged for 8-10 months on their lees in Faiveley’s Mercurey winery.
